I began taking photos seriously around 1980 when my grandfather left me $200 and I used it to buy a Pentax K1000. I've had a few cameras since then and went digital in 2005. The photos I've sold to date have often been ones that have accompanied an article I've written (or someone else has). My photos were also published in my wife's book, Light Years: Memoir of a Modern Lighthouse Keeper, and, continuing in the lighthouse vein, I provided the cover photo for Paulette Jiles novel, Lighthouse Island.
